Erin’s World frames are as unique as your child. Finalists for the 2015 Optician Awards Frame of the Year Award.
Edmonds and Slatter are delighted to be able to offer Erin’s World frames. These frames were originally designed by Maria Dellapina, a USA Certified Optician, to fit her daughter Erin who had Down’s Syndrome. Fit is an important factor for any child as their small faces are still developing and their facial characteristics are different to an adult’s.
Maria was frustrated with the lack of options frames to fit her little girl’s features, and so had a range of frames manufactured with a lowered bridge and custom designed shorter temple lengths, to make sure that the frame sits higher and more centred on the child’s face.
We have had great success with Erin’s World frames for not only Down’s Syndrome patients but any patients with a low bridge. They are made from a titanium base and memory flex, creating a flexible bridge and temples that spring out 180 degrees. Perfect for keeping up with active children’s lifestyles!
