Edmonds & Slatter Opticians prove themselves yet again to be a very charitable group of people. Every year staff have participated in LOROS’ Walk on The Wildside event. This year it happened on Sunday the 18th of September.
Two dispensing opticians, Shelley Goodall and Amy Coleburne along with their partners raised sponsorship and completed the whole 12 mile course. “By Sunday night our legs were very achy but we were lucky to have such fantastic weather again” said Amy.
Edmonds and Slatter still have a few charity events up their sleeves before the year is out. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and the Lutterworth practice will taking part in “Frocktober” by having a pink themed window display and wearing something glamorous to work for a day to raise funds.
At the beginning of November all 3 practices (located at Blaby, Glenfield and Lutterworth) will be selling Bonfire night display tickets on behalf of LOROS for their big annual display at Mallory Park. Dispensing opticians Amy Coleburne and Shelley Goodall ready to start their walk.
Last but not least the end of November will see the switch on of the local Christmas lights in Blaby and Lutterworth. Both Edmonds and Slatter practices will have their annual Christmas open evening with goodies, nibbles and of course a prize draw on the night in aid of LOROS. Please call any of the practices for further information about any of the events mentioned.
