Edmonds and Slatter opticians held festive open evenings in their Lutterworth and Blaby practices to coincide with the town’s lights switch on at the end of November. Both practices stayed open late serving wine, mince pies, sweets and nibbles to patients throughout the evening. Goodie bags were handed out with exciting treats for adults and children alike.

A prize draw was held in both practices to helped raise funds for LOROS, the local hospice that Edmonds and Slatter have been supporting for a number of years now. The total amount raised for LOROS that night was £194.10.

The Lutterworth practice continued in the festive theme by taking part in the Christmas tree festival at St Mary’s Church, over the weekend of the 9th and 10th of December. The tree was decorated with many pairs of donated spectacles and titled ‘The Gift of Sight’. All the spectacles used were then sent on to Vision Aid Overseas who are able to make sure they are given to people in developing countries who otherwise would have no access to clear vision at all.

If you would like to donate any unused spectacles please simply drop them off at any Edmonds and Slatter practice.
