On Monday night Edmonds & Slatter opticians hosted their first food and fundraising event, a curry night at Chamelee restaurant, Blaby.
Guests purchased a ticket and were treated to a full table service, 3 course Indian meal with accompanying live music from Blu Haiku. Other entertainment during the night included a fun quiz with questions about the history of curry and the Guide Dogs charity, a raffle, an auction and a “Guess The Waggiest Tail” sweepstake.
Amy Coleburne of Edmonds & Slatter, who helped organise the event was very pleased with the results. Amy said “Everyone had a lovely, fun and relaxing night while raising money for a wonderful cause” She continued “ We raised a whopping £461.70 for Guide Dogs which will be added into our Name a Puppy fund, so thank you to everyone involved.”
Edmonds and Slatter have been raising money for Guide dogs for over a year now with a target of £5000 to reach next year enabling them to name their own puppy.
