Renewed Partnership with Local Charity LOROS Hospice

Edmonds and Slatter Opticians are proud to announce their renewed partnership with local charity LOROS Hospice, selecting it as their Charity of the Year for the remainder of 2025 and throughout 2026.

The announcement comes as both organisations mark significant milestones — LOROS celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, while Edmonds and Slatter will reach the same landmark in 2026.

“We’re proud to support LOROS as our Charity of the Year. It’s an incredibly worthwhile cause, deeply rooted in the local community and truly deserving of our backing,” said Saagar Hirani, Optometrist and Director at Edmonds and Slatter. “With LOROS celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and Edmonds and Slatter marking our own 40th next year, the timing felt perfectly aligned. It’s a meaningful opportunity to revisit one of our original charity partners and focus our fundraising efforts where they can make a real impact.”

LOROS Hospice provides free, high-quality care and support to terminally ill patients and their families across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. The charity relies heavily on community fundraising and local partnerships to continue its vital work.

Edmonds and Slatter have a long-standing tradition of supporting local causes, and this renewed collaboration with LOROS reflects their deep-rooted commitment to giving back to the community that has supported them for four decades.

In the coming months, all five Edmonds and Slatter practices will be hosting a variety of fundraising activities and awareness campaigns in support of LOROS. Both staff and patients are warmly encouraged to get involved and help make a difference.
