Edmonds & Slatter take your safety and that of our team as a priority. During the outbreak of COVID-19, we have taken extensive additional measures to ensure you are looked after, including increasing the frequency of cleaning across our practices and following official NHS guidelines.
To ensure we continue to protect our staff and patients, we have now taken the decision to suspend all non-emergency appointments across all of our practices until further notice.
As of 5:30pm on Tuesday 24th March, our Lutterworth and Glenfield practices will temporarily close and our Blaby practice will operate under reduced emergency hours only.
This means if you have a routine appointment in the coming weeks, such as a check-up, your appointment will be cancelled and we will contact you to find an alternative date when we are sure it is safe to do so.
If you are in need of emergency care, you will be able to phone our BLABY practice on 0116 277 7733, now manned Monday to Saturday, 9am - 11am, and someone will get back to you as soon as possible with further advice. If you have an ocular emergency outside these hours please call NHS 111.
If you are in need of urgent care but have any symptoms of coronavirus, such as a new, constant cough and/or a high temperature, or if someone in your household has these symptoms, please stay at home and call NHS 111 for further guidance.
We want to reassure you that we are taking the outbreak of COVID-19 extremely seriously and are taking the necessary precautions to protect our patients and staff members. We will continue to closely monitor the advice provided by the UK health authorities. As soon as we can begin providing routine optical care for our patients, we will contact you again and let you know.
